DESSERT WINES
Port - A sweet, fortified red wine. Subtypes include Ruby Port (fresh and grapey), Tawny Port (smooth and gentle) and Vintage Port (rich and - with age - very complex). Port is served at room temperature.
Sherry - An amber-colored fortified wine with an almond character. Can be dry or sweet (often called cream) depending on the grapes used. Dry sherries are often served chilled.
Madeira - Similar to the sweeter sherries.
